Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

Krista&Spencer Wed

Congrats to Krista & Spencer! Krista is the daughter of my good friend Creel McFarland, of Limerick Studio. Krista and Spencer met at college, and pretty much since they met they've been laughing and loving together. Their sweet love was so evident throughout the entire day, which just shines through the pictures. Besides the beautiful emotions, Krista and Spencer gave me my first opportunity to shoot at the Dominion House, a beautiful wedding location in Guthrie, and the chance to shoot with my good friend, Deshawna! Thanks for the fabulous day and God bless all your years to come!

CreativeLive

I just submitted my video to win a chance to see work with Jasmine Star during the CreativeLive event in Seattle next month. Only 6 photographers will be chosen, based on their video, to attend the event. Here's the best I've got!

A Mexico Wedding: Preview

I was not intending to write this post sitting on this chair, or in this house, or even in this country! Last weekend I was blessed to be Katie and David's wedding photographer as they tied the knot at a resort on a Mexican beach. That's right, my first official destination wedding! So, to celebrate, I planned on writing this post, sitting in my room, at the resort, next to the beach. But then I realized I would much rather be at the beach than in my room. So now that I'm back in the US and there's no ocean calling my name, here's a sneak peak at this gorgeous wedding. I'm not sure if I can quite call it a peak with 13 pictures.. but here we go-

There's so many details I could drool over.. the beautiful bride, her gorgeous dress, the bright colors, and the Mexican flair... wipe..

And for the grand finale... a dip to mimic the palm! (and Katie said they couldn't dip.... look what happens when you become one!)

There will be more to come! But first I want to say thanks so much to Katie and David and their fabulous families. We couldn't have enjoyed our time down there any more!

Sneak Peak from the weekend

:c)
All I can do is smile at this post
This was my first weekend to shoot 2 weddings in one weekend (sandwiched by a wedding the weekend before and after- whew!). But what a group of weddings! Each was a beautiful in it's own unique way, but each full of God and love. When scanning through the pics for some samples for this post, I found it interesting how different each picture was that was shot in somewhat a similar way.
The first wedding was of Krista and Spencer. Krista is the daughter of Creel McFarland, former leader of photolife group and definitely a big part of my photographic learning and growth. The wedding was at the Dominion House, a location I have been so excited to shoot! The entire group was fun and we had a blast, despite the heat!

Saturday night was the long awaited wedding of Priscilla and Shelby. I work with Priscilla at Deaconess and she booked me for this wedding about a year and a half ago when I still hadn't shot many weddings. But the date for these two love birds finally arrived and it was a beautiful event (and hot, very hot, but thankfully they were all troopers as well!). Priscilla and Shelby said their vows in the forest of Tres Suenos Winery (always a love of mine).

More to come when I fully edit, but I just want to say thank you to Krista & Spencer and Priscilla & Shelby for the fabulous weekend. God bless your marriages and enjoy your honeymoons!

Priscilla's Bridals

At last. Just like the song.
At last Priscilla and Shelby will be united as one. Today they will say their vows in front of family and friends at the beautiful Tres Suenos winery (always near to my heart!). There will be many fabulous pictures to come from their wedding, but for now, here's some of Priscilla's bridals. She chose Yukon park for the location, and I think it made a fabulous setting for her! The bouquet is actually just some wild flowers that I picked on the side of the road on my way to the shoot. enjoy-
