Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

What happened in July..

Hello strangers! Sooo... it's been awhile, let me show you what we've been up to this month that's kept me from the computer!

First, Ray's birthday was July 5th (happy birthday sweetie! I normally try to say that sooner..). This is my 4th year (I think) to surprise Ray with a party (you'd think he'd catch on at some point..). We gathered our friends for some volleyball on a warm evening, thanks for all those who came!

Besides all of the above, I started my new job at the Spine Hospital and have been spending my days orienting. It's been different working 8 hour days (the last time I did that was my first job my junior year of high school!), but so far so good-

Here is the stunning family of my coworker, Sarah. Sarah's husband and sister live out of town, so when everyone happened to be together, her mom wanted to have pictures of them all! So we met bright and early on a Sunday morning before everyone started heading out their own way.. enjoy-

Goodbye (kinda) Deaconess

Today I walked out of Deaconess for the last time as my regular job.
If you didn't know already, I recently obtained a new job at the Oklahoma Spine Hospital, I'll be starting there on Monday. It was a weird drive for me on the way home (because I always make change a bigger deal than most people). My 3 favorite artists sang to me through Pandora as I pondered over what's to come. I have never left a job without a purpose, and Deaconess is the only "big girl" RN job I've had. I will continue to stay there occasional part-time, which helps me to think that I will still get to see my friends.

That's one thing that had me thinking in the car. On our way home from Dallas this weekend I read a book (the whole book!!), The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. It really plays up the importance of the people we encounter in our every day lives, and what an impact it can make on our life. I've been thinking this with my old roommate, Art, gone. Now that he's out of the house, we hardly see him or talk to him (which is kinda how it was when he lived here!), but how neat that we get to share that time in our lives together. And the people at Deaconess, I've been working with some of them for 7 years, they've seen me grow from baby nurse into a real RN. My lifegroup people are another set that I feel so grateful to have in my life. I am blessed by the encounters I get with all these people, and since you're reading this, most likely you are one as well! So basically thanks, thanks for being a part of my life. Thanks for shaping me in my own way. And thanks to our Lord who hold the road map to this all.

Speaking of change, this man is the king of change! I recently sent this pic into Live with Kelly's Cutest Baby Contest. If I could win a contest as a baby (bald and boyish), I figure Isaiah's got a shot!

Gavin's 3 Month

We used the 4th of July as an opportunity to shoot some family pics of the Bero's for baby Gavin's 3 month session (I love Sydnie's subtle use of red, white, and blue!). We gathered in my new favorite location- Sydnie and Jeremy's neighborhood. Enjoy this cute family-
