Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

26 Weeks

I know, it's been a month, don't hate.
I might be ending this little blog, but that's another post.
Right now, I just uploaded Eli's weekly picture that I took today, and it makes me happier than anything, so I had to share! I can't believe we are halfway through our project.. just look at how adorable he is!
I just love this guy. He's sitting well, really interested in food, and still refuses a bottle. He loves watching his older brother, and the trains he's always playing with. Eli's a hefty 20 pounds and so perfect to cuddle with. He's starting to give some kisses, and enjoys a good tickle! He's got 2 teeth that he no longer hides :c)

For comparison.. here's week 1

A Day in the Life: 2014

Last year on January 1st, I documented Isaiah in the first "A Day in the Life" series. A week ago, I captured both Isaiah and Eli for the second part! This wasn't necessarily a typical day, but it's fairly typical to have an atypical day, so I went with it. My mom, step-dad, and aunt were in town for New Years, we enjoyed having them over at our house for the day. Enjoy & Happy New Year!

I forgot to pull out my camera for Eli's early morning awake time and bath, so we start with play time with dad

Isaiah wakes up for the last time in his crib (we converted it to a toddler bed later in the day)
Family play time in mom and dad's bed
Which of course Honey thinks she's a part of
 Love this brotherly love
 And their copy cat faces!
 Isaiah independently brushes his teeth.
Eli talks it up during brunch
And of course has some drooling going on
Isaiah sneaks into Aunt Judy's room for more play time
Both boys help me make soup for lunch.

The rest of the family arrives to help put together the trampoline they got us for Christmas (so grateful for their help!). Isaiah and Aunt Kacey make a car out of the box.
While Great-Aunt Lisa keeps Eli warm and entertained inside the house.
I recently discovered how fat the lower part of Eli's finger is, but couldn't get a picture of his finger straight! Love this little hand anyways
Progress is being made by the workers...while the toddler finds a way to play!
But he's seriously involved in this conversation.
 Mission Trampoline: complete. Commence play
Eli eagerly awaits his food (we just recently started solids due to his demand for them!)
 Kacey is happy to oblige
 Isaiah enjoys his own grub.
And the night ends with a family game of cards around the table, Isaiah participates by coloring with us.
I was too busy playing to get any sleeping pictures of them, but wish I would have completed this out better. Well, there's always next year! Here's to 2014

Snow Day!

Happy Snow Day!!
From what I've heard, most of the country is looking like the scene below. We enjoyed a day home with the entire family today, but had to sneak out around noon for a romp in the snow! I bargained for this sled at a garage sale last year, I told they guy it would probably just sit in my attic un-used, but I was happy to be wrong! Eli joined us for some quick pictures, but as you can tell he wasn't a big fan (he was a little happier in his mom's arms). Isaiah loves the snow, and enjoyed being pulled in the sled, stomping in snow and puddles, throwing snowballs, and helping shovel the driveway.12-06-46
"Save me please?"

These Moments

I was sitting on the floor, holding my baby and looking up at my son when I saw this moment. Thankfully Isaiah cooperated long enough for me to get the camera and capture it. In this moment I realized he won't be like this much longer. He's certainly old enough to move out of the crib, but I've heard other parents say to leave them in the crib as long as you can, and I'm heeding their advice. But it won't be much longer. And that baby I hold in my lap? He is growing everyday. Soon enough he won't be dependent on me for nourishment, transportation, and entertainment.
I was frustrated yesterday while shopping and trying keep Isaiah from grabbing/breaking everything and having to change Eli's diaper that leaked and trying to find clothes that aren't too tight/young/old.... I remember saying that this isn't worth it. Maybe shopping isn't worth it at this point in life, but my kids totally are. As I type, I hear my baby's sweet breathing and occasional grunts (because that's what he does) as he sleeps next to my bed. Isaiah will wake and only want me to get him out of his crib. These moments are worth it. I just read a post on The Pioneer Woman's blog which prompted me to write this post (and cry while I write it)
"Can I start all over? Because I will. In a second. I’ll do it all over again, even the labor and delivery part. I’ll do the sleepless nights, the stomach bugs, the potty training, the early days of homeschooling, the tangles in the hair, the doctor visits, and even the transition into adolescence."
I haven't even gone through this list, but I know it's coming. And it makes me cry. Apparently it wasn't just pregnancy that made me bawl at a VolksWagen commercial, it's being a mom.
Here's my boys.
