Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

Lindsey, Sam, and a Harley :c)

Lindsey is a fellow Sandite and saw that I am now a photographer through facebook (thank you facebook :c) She asked if I could shoot some pictures of her and her boyfriend in Tulsa. Our first attempt to get together in July got rained out (yes, crazy rain in July!!), and even though last Monday was blazing hot, at least I could take my camera outside!
They wanted to include Sam's new Harley in the session and asked if that was okay... my response.. heck ya! Check out the super fun shots-

But don't worry, we laughed as well! This guy was wanting in the pic, and I surprised him by actually including him!

Elyssa's Quinceanera

It was my first Quinceanera to attend, and I just happened to be shooting it.
I was told it would not be a typical quinceanera, but that it would honor the tradition of a 15 year old young woman dedicating her life to the Lord. At this point, I didn't even realize that is what a quinceanera was for! I thought it was similar to our sweet 16 parties (which have no meaning), but apparently, I was wrong. And so glad that I was. Elyssa is the daughter of Rosa and Sam, and as I said in their wedding post, this is a family that I just love and admire. The day was beautiful and the event was glorious, as Elyssa promised to be a women of God in front of friends and family. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed some delicious Mexican food and a dip in the pool. With a big thanks to the family who let us borrow their home, we had a fantastic location!

The girls got to spend a couple hours in a limo

Like I said, a beautiful day at a stunning location

my beautiful sister

here's my sister, kacey.
i'm about to make her late to her boyfriend's football game, so i've got to make this quick, but i was too exited to share! i asked kc if she would let me take pics of her so i could practice my posing and working with people. our friend belinda joined us for the shoot, and even though it was overcast and mucky, we really enjoyed our time outside! here's my more 'model-like' pics (don't let us fool you, we did laugh and smile too..)
all these were shot at mitch park in edmond

this is my secret location i found during the spring time.. isn't it beautiful!

a family session

you've already seen the russell's on several different occasions, mindy & rylands maternity and newborn shoot, and the gardner's christmas shoot, but on the 8th, we combined and added to get what i call a big-'ol family pic! these were all shot in downtown guthrie, where mindy and ryland live. guthrie used to be the capitol of oklahoma, and still has a ton of character and color.. i love it!
i know it's not 'pretty', but i really like this pic.
see.. i can make them smile (sometimes..)
stunning
the whole clan
mindy wanted pics by this old railroad car ( i love my clients cool ideas :c)
surprise surprise when a real train flew by us..
ma and pa
some oldness, some color, and some flair!
good lookin' family!
can you tell i liked the train?
another solid family portrait
also at mindy's request, we had a little frame fun..

thanks for stopping by! more to come from this same shoot..
