Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

Vintage Guthrie Wedding

In a few hours, on this beautiful January day, I will be heading out to second shoot a wedding with my good friend Cheryl! I enjoy getting these opportunities to see her and shoot some beautiful weddings :c) I realized I had never shared my last wedding we shot together in December. It was such a beautiful, classy wedding held at the Sand Plum in Guthrie (the same place my sister will be getting married at, only in a different room!). Without further ado..

The stunning dress fit in well with the location

Coles Famliy Pics

Last Saturday I was blessed to shoot my first family session of the year, the Coles. I work with Allison at Deaconess, you may remember me mentioning her on here for a prayer request. Last fall Allison's husband Sean was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, shortly after his 30th birthday. He started his chemo as soon as they received the diagnosis and recently they did a PET scan to check the progress. It was not what they were hoping for. This Monday they started a new, pretty intense, chemo regimen. So we wanted to sneak in some family pictures before all this started. We were blessed to have such a beautiful day on Saturday to be shooting outside, and once we got away from the windy park, it really wasn't that cold by they lake. I hope that you enjoy the pictures of this precious family!

Sean and Allison are on a journey that they did not ask for, but now they are forced to deal with. Under these circumstances, some people will turn their anger on God, but it has been the most beautiful thing to watch as these two have grown even clsoer to God. Sean was baptized the day after this shoot, and I am tearing up right now thinking about it. As a nurse, honestly, I sometimes struggle with praying for healing. But for Sean, I am praying for a miraculous healing as a child of God. I believe in a big God, who can do big things, and that He is being glorified through this all. If you want to join me in this prayer, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you and thank God

Photo weekend

Is it already Sunday?
I had the busiest photo weekend of the year (meaning, I actually picked up my camera ;c)
It started with a blog post that I finished, but didn't get posted because I had gotten kicked out of google (will repost later, just wanted to let you know that I did try).
Then I went to our photolife.tv's maternity session with our one and only Deshawna at the fabulous Limerick Studio. Deshawna was beautiful and patient, we had a wonderful turnout, and an absolute blast!
Saturday evening I shot a family session for a friend and God blessed us with some amazing January weather! You'll be seeing that soon too.
Then most of today I spent on a project for my sister (it's a secret..), but super exciting, so I'll share that when I can :c)

For now, here's a few unedited shots from our lifegroup shootout.

Hidden in the depths of the P&S...

When I bought my point-and-shoot camera, I though, 'I'm a photographer, I'm used to uploading photos, I'll keep this up good'.
Well, today I went to pull 2 pictures off of my camera from a night out with friends this weekend, I realized I had not connected my camera to the computer since this summer! Yeah, there's 'keeping it up good'! So here's a few pictures from the past half year that I wanted to share with you :c)

First, our night out with Matt and Juliana Friday night.
