Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

happy halloween!

happy halloween!!
this is a post from the mixture of halloween events over the past week. again, i tried to make them all cool and spiffy with boarders and my logo, but photoshop kept freezing up on me, and it's way to nice outside for me to be in here trying to fix this.. so you'll see pics both ways.
to start, here's some pumpkins from the carving party i had on tuesday with my good friends, beth, sydnie, nichole and thier hubbies

and here's the pumpkin carving party at my house on sunday. if you didn't make it, i'm going to try to keep it up as an annual tradition, so join us next year! (ps, forgive me if these next few pics aren't the best, i don't do a great job of hosting and photographing..)

here's the kids table with their mad crazy decorating skills

here's ray and our friend/fellow coworker at the chesapeake halloween party yesterday. even though they look pretty stinkin' awesome as walker texas ranger and ranger trabet, they didn't place in the costume party.

they are pretty upset because they got beat out by fuzzy dice... (this is not my picture, but ray wanted me to post a pic just so you'd know). they were not happy

and to end on a happy note, this is the sunset we got to drive towards on our way home from tulsa last saturday.. beautiful!

the parcells

here's a great little family that was referred to me through my friend, sydnie (thanks syd!).
grant and sarah choose mitch park to be the location for the pics of their super cute boy, luke. although the day was windy (what's new..), it was gorgeous fall weather during our shoot. i had a blast hanging out with these guys, i hope you enjoy the pics :c)
(sidenote: i just spent a while making a nice black border, putting my stamp on each pic, and saving my copyright info... but apparently nothing saved. booo. i'll figure this stuff out one day..)
my favorite willow tree

oh these eyes make my heart melt!

i love his face here..

i'm still alive!

so, it's probably not the best to wait a week before posting again after your last post was about a fire burning within a mile of your house. if you were concerned, thank you, and i'm sorry. we are safe. they were able to keep the fire cointained, although it was an all night battle.
as for me, ray and i had a busy weekend, with 3 parties to attend, 3 photo shoots, 3 different desserts to make, a trip to tulsa, and a meeting with lifegroup. whew.. so, i'll have a lot to post! first i want to give some birthday shout-outs to my sister kacey, and abby, nikki, rucker, deshawna, and heather. happy bday! now, here's a few photos from our friday night party with the crew in tulsa (it was a costume party in honor of abby and nikki's bdays). ray and i went as bikers, as seen in the movie super troopers, with me going as a motorcycle biker and ray dressing as a bicycle biker. it was fun :c)

backyard bond fire??

this video is what i came home to tonight

(first, let me say, i think the reason i don't automatically talk while video recording is because i hate my voice when recorded.. seriously, what kind of southern hick was that?)
as i type, i can hear the chopper flying overhead. the news just said that this fire has been burning for 3.5 hours. as a photographer, i sometimes have to fight the wind during a shoot (as we did during yesterday's shoot), but i think the firefighters have to fight it even harder... this apartment complex is with the same one mile block of me (right behind the lowes on kelly and covell, if you know edmond). even thought there's a big effort in fighting it, it still makes me a little uneasy being so close. now i know how if feels to live in california.
here's the view from our back porch

and here's the blazing complex (these are new, and i'm pretty sure were still unoccupied at the time, thankfully)

all photo credit goes to ray for this post (he captured these while i was at work)

not a bad job, huh?

and as i finish typing this, the news is warning people to stay away from the fire..
thanks for not obeying, ray!
