I hope that you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. Ray and I snuck away to Durango, CO for our official 'babymoon' (the last trip we can take before baby gets here and I am restricted to stay within a couple hours of OKC). We met up with my aunt and uncle in Albuquerque, then continued the trip up to Colorado. This was actually our second time in Durango (that's where our ski trip was this winter), so it was neat to see the difference in winter and spring. I had a craving to be in the mountains with trees, and this trip certainly fulfilled it!
Our camping site
Isn't Colorado amazing? Just below us the Aspens were budding with green leaves, but we camped a bit to high for that. But notice the snow covered peak in the back ground
The Iron Horse Bike Race was that Saturday, so we walked to the road to watch and cheer
Here's our crew cheering on the riders
while I played with panning
My aunt and uncle are cyclists themselves, both have raced this before.
Then Ray, ML, and I went for a hike up the mountain
comparing bellies :c)
The man I love rockin' my shades
My cousin Addison and I
The Rauch's at Pergatory
and the Ofosu's (Ray got to race down the mountain on a sled... I videoed instead of pics, but he said it was fun!)
Back at camp we roasted and relaxed.
And of course enjoyed some 'smores!
The next day we took a trip to Silverton
Then drove up to Beaver Lake
The girls in front of the beaver dam
The men
It was a little windy up there!
But gorgeous scenery!
Back at camp we played some ball
Then broke down camp in the snow...
Goodbye Durango!
We'll miss you!
