Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog- a place where I share a bit of my photography, a bit of my life, and a lot of me! I am in love with the life that God has provided me. I live with my wonderful husband in central Oklahoma, in the town of Edmond. I am a wife, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy my work as a nurse and photographer. I adore sweets, nature, and my pesky (but cute) boxer, Honey. I feel that I am blessed with a passion for photography, and pray that I am able to bless others through it.

Thank you for being here and sharing the experience with me!

email scams

MISS FELICIA JOHNSON AUDITOR GENERAL
DEAR,
RE: TRANSFER OF US$15.200.000 00 MILLION TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
I feel quite safe dealing with you in this important business. Though this medium (Internet) has been greatly abused, I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest medium of communication. However, this correspondence is private, and it should be treated in strict confidence.
At first I will like to assu re you that this transaction is 100% risk and trouble free to both parties, In order to transfer out FIFTEEN MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS, (US$15.200 000 00) from our bank here in Burkina Faso .
The fund for transfer is of clean origin. The owner of the fund is a foreigner, a program leader who was believed to acquire the fund through his secret Crude Oil deal with the Former IRAQ government. The deceased died with all the members of his family in an auto-accident in June 23, 2001 without a WILL. The amount involved is US$15,200,000.00
I want to transfer this money into your account as the foreign beneficiary of the fund. I know that this letter will come to you as a surprise as we don't know ourselves before, BUT BE SURE THAT IT IS REAL AND A GENUINE BUSINESS. I CONTACT YOU BELIEVING THAT YOU WILL NOT LET ME DOWN ONCE THE FUND GOES INTO YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU CAN CONTACT ME WITH MY PRAVITE EMAIL ADDRESS feliciajohnson001@myway.com
Let me hear from you.
Regards Felicia

the above showed up in my email box today.
my response: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!
the fact that they send this means that there is probably someone out there who is silly enough to fall for such a scam, how sad. here's just a few of the clues that i picked up that scream SCAM!
  1. Dear, _________ -they don't even know who to address!
  2. The 'first' thing you do is assure me it's risk free- not a good start
  3. LETS CAPITALIZE ALL THE GOOD STUFF- that's not trying to make a sale..
  4. The accident took place in 2001- hmmm, 7 years later..
  5. "we don't know ourselves before, but... i contact you believing you will not let me down"-why would you believe this out of someone you don't know?
  6. and finally, how nice, you gave me your private email address- how did you get mine!!

so i just found this email unbelievable, and because i didn't know what else to do with it, i thought i would share it with you.. heck, you probably received it 4 years years ago!

living vegas

viva las vegas!
in celebration of my little sister's graduation from college, my family and i lived vegas for 4 days!
we did it all from the stratosphere to mandilay bay, we
lounged by pool. walked the strip. gambled the slots. rode the rides. saw the shows. partied like rock stars at LAX. chowed down at midnight. stood in awe at the Bellagio show. rode the bus. took a cab. slept in. passed by chris rock and david spade. covered our eyes at Bare. lost some money (not in the casino, but in the hotel room). swore that the clouds in the venetian were moving. witnessed a true pervert at work. changed outfits at least 3 times a day. shopped the shops. dined at the buffets.
lived vegas

on our first afternoon in vegas, we met michael who also lived vegas. mrs. o

orchards at the mirage
the stratosphere, from which i experienced insanity, a ride that spins of the side of the towering building...
mom, kacey, and summer outside of the forum of ceasars see how much klas we have? (in our next picture inside the store, we had lampshades on our heads..)
need i say more?
this is inside the venetian.. how amazing
another beautiful cealing inside the wynn
i loved the colorful floor with the simple gold and beautiful garden
kacey, displaying once again how much klas we have ;c)this is how summer gambles
and this is my pocket full of winnings from 'slots of fun' (yes, they are quarters)
i love how you can take a trip around the world in one city
'dealertainers'.. the favorite part of our hotel
grand beauty a picture can not do these shows justice
paris at night
only in vegas..
our view from the stratosphere..
so i've decided..

and as much as i wanted to get some fabulous pictures, i didn't not have a tripod for some great night shots, and i didn't spend time correcting white balance or editing and croping these pictures, so this is it. hey, it was a vacation.

prayer request

i have a prayer request for you all today. i would like you to stop and say a prayer for Zachary, the 16 year old son of a friend from my photo life group. He has cerebral palsy and had to undergo a dangerous operation on his back today. he is now safe in recovery, but will have to remain in the hospital for about 10 more days. please pray for zach and his family during his hospitalization and for everyone to be able to adjust to a new way of life when the get to take him home.

i also have a praise to report with this same story! besides having to worry about zach making it through surgery (he has a bad reaction to anesthesia, but he tolerated it well this time, praise God), my friend was informed that they would have to totally redo their home bathroom to be able to care for zach when he gets home. they priced the renovations at around $9,000, but thanks to all the wonderful people at lifechurch.tv, this price will be reduced drastically due the the help of volunteers! how wonderful! so please also include these people in your prayers, that they may be blessed for their generosity!

teacher ashley

it's been almost a week since i last blogged! so sorry!
right now i'm having to concentrate a lot of my time and effort into nursing, and less into photos. for example, today is my first day as a clinical adjunct teacher with rose state college. i don't know why, but this last week i have been completely freaked out about this job. besides the fact that they keep changing my clinical groups (i found out the final one last night, hopefully...) i'm nervous about doing all the 'teachery' things, grading papers, disciplining, and all that. i know i love to teach hands on nursing, so i'm just praying that this truly is the direction God wants me to go, and that i can make a difference in His name.

lovin' life together

i know, i know.. your tired of news. but too bad, cause that's what i got (and i just feel so compelled to share!)

the inspector spent all morning at our (hopefully) future home today, and it passed with flying colors! so as long as termites haven't taken residence in this beautiful house, we should be closing on the 28th of next month. its going to be a difficult wait (we are just soo excited!) but God is making sure that he doesn't overload us right now (which i would do if it weren't for his road blocks). a little bonus to the whole deal, our first year anniversary, sept. 29, will be our first full day to own our home (if things go as planned). what a great present!

ray is still enjoying his job so far, and will hopefully become very buff very soon, now that he's signed up at the chesapeake gym! (as if he's not already ;c)

i will be starting my first day as a clinical adjunct teacher for rose state in exactly a week.. this means i will be teaching 4th semester students in the hospital for their last clinical during school. i will be doing this 2 days a week while still working my job at deaconess. as scary and intimidating as this all is for me, i feel that i need to give a shot. so i'm going at it with prayers and patience, and hopefully i will be able to lead the students well (but i'd appreciate any extra prayers that i can get to succeed at this venture!)

here's the new future home of the ofosu's. it's also in edmond, and very beautiful

its got great natural light with all these big windows!
our soon-to-be master
and the gorgeous living room... you're all invited!
to top it all off, tonight was date night! we treated ourselves to some brazillian food
then to a walk in the botanical gardens! many blessings :c)

oh la la

hey all! here's another first for me, what i call an oh la la session!
this was a boudoir shoot (tasteful photos that hint at sexiness.. according to wedding-photographers-directory.com). we were at the beautiful mcbirney mansion for most of this shoot (except for when we ran out of time and went to a friends house and revamped a bedroom into our own personal studio...but that's another story :c).
although we were all completely novice to the type of posing and attitude for the pics, we eventually got into the groove and had a lot of fun. here's a hint at what we got..

(her hubby is a cubs fan)
i love her beautiful eyelashes here!
the mansion had the best stuff to work with! check out the wallpaper!
