Isaiah is ONE!

Today is Isaiah's first birthday. One year ago I was at Deaconess Hospital, with a newborn baby, a loving husband, and a more complete family. I'd have to say that having a baby makes life a bit 'crazy', and in the beginning I honestly couldn't understand why everyone was so happy for us.. but I get it now. Over the year this one little person has so effectively made me love like I've never loved before. I am so happy each time I get to watch him conquer a new skill, or discover something in his innocent way, or just feel his sweet hugs and kisses. Where he is now is such a dramatic difference from a year ago (as seen in my last post), it just makes the year so amazing. We threw Isaiah a fun birthday party yesterday, I'll be sure to share pics when I get them. We had a wonderful day together today as a family with some time at church, baptisms (Isaiah's uncle Matt got baptized today, congrats!), lifestock, the park, and a family nap :c) I don't feel like I've been too emotional about my baby turning one, but I also can't bear to take down the birthday banner and group of pictures that I put up for the party...   This is Isaiah's one year session shot by our friend, Mellisa Green

I can't tell you why I love this so much, but my son's sweet hand makes my heart melt.. As do his giggles

52 Weeks of Isaiah

I can't believe it. I've been pulling out the white blanket (then later white comforter) every week since last August... which as you guessed was a year ago.. which means my one year project of photographing Isaiah each week is now complete! I'm so glad I saw John and Sherry from Young House Love do this, because what a special thing to have. I'd never imagine it would be so easy to forget how my son looked not even a year ago, but he's so different from what he was that it makes it hard to remember (or the lack of sleep my brain's had over the year doesn't allow for good memories)! So I'm excited to present  (drum roll please).. 52 weeks of Isaiah!

I'm surprised that I did not miss one picture of Isaiah (the empty week 6 is when I started photography back and must have deleted the pic before downloading on my comp, sad day). But each week does a good job of showing what we were going through at that time (like the crying during week 3). I would like to upload all 52 pics so you can see them big.. but for now I have a birthday party to get ready for!

Mai's Pre-K Session

I've been shooting this sweet family since Micah and Xuan got married... now their daughter is in Pre-K ... crazy! We met up at the Myriad Gardens and captured these beautiful shots!
