i have a confession.

i may have told a bit of a fish tale a while ago when i made the post about putting lights on our house. it wasn't my intent, but in trying emphasize my point, i think i went a little overboard. so to clarify to everyone, my step dad did put lights up on our house after i had asked (yeah i know, pretty bad when i said he never put up lights, but let me keep defending!). i guess why i got on my sob story was because i always wanted lights that went all over the house, on peaks and in valleys and all that. the only problem with that, we didn't have a house with peaks and valleys, so i was actually asking for the impossible (which is a pretty hard request to fill!). so i apologize felton, because you did do as i asked, and we even made a cool christmas tree in the front of our house out of lights. i also want to apologize to ray, whom i mislead, and after attempting to get on the house today to take the lights down, i realize what you went through and decided we no longer have to put lights on the peaks~ okay, i think i'm full of foot..

'09 kicked off right!

okay, so it's been a minute since i've posted, for as you can see below, i kind of snuck off on a vacation with out telling you.. opps! it was kind of crazy between holidays, family in town, working, then leaving for new mexico last week.. but it's all been a blast! we visited the ever-so welcoming and always unforgiving on our bodies, rauch's. click here to see the our trip from last summer where they killed our muscles with rock climbing. this time we hit the mountains in a different form, with goggles and skies. and thankfully, the mountain didn't fight back (last year i hurt my knee, and the year before i got altitude sickness.. yuck). instead wolf creek provided us with 18 inches of fresh powder, which you can see forming in the pics. it was beautiful :c)

we drove out to albuquerque on new years eve, where we celebrated '09 according to okalahoma time (an hour early~). here's the kids in their new footie pajamas (they almost make me want a pair again!)

a becker christmas!

this is a picture of my grandpa's dream come true...

all of his 6 kids were together with their famlies this Christmas, the first time in a long time~ there were 35 of us total, the only missing one was my sister, who had to work :c(. we had a blast playing, eating, and hanging out. i felt completely blessed this Christmas, and i hope you did as well :c)

they were surprised with a new addition to their family about 3 weeks ago, which was about 3 weeks before expected! she is a beautiful, healthy baby girl. on friday we did some last minute christmas pictures with their new family. enjoy~

a couple months ago i came across a seattle photographer who primarily shoots family pets.. how cool! since i've been making and attempt at almost every other kind of photography, i thought why not make my new puppy my subject (who is available and way more willing than my husband :c). i'm sure there'll be more to come, but here's our first session!
